Several records relating to G7, Aura Energy and other Trung Nguyên brands now name the same entity established in late 2024. The records offer insight into how brand assets are organized, but do not establish a restructuring of the entire corporate group.
A new entity and the concentration of brand assets
A company that began operating in late 2024 is appearing increasingly often in intellectual property records relating to Trung Nguyên brands in Vietnam and international markets.
What stands out is not only the company’s name, but also the concentration of brand assets within a single legal entity.
According to publicly available company information, Công ty TNHH Đầu tư và Phát triển thương hiệu Trung Nguyên Legend was registered on 4 December 2024. Its English name is Trung Nguyen Legend Investment and Brand Development Company Limited, and its legal form is a limited liability company with two or more members. Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ is Chairman of the Members’ Council and its legal representative.
From G7 to newer trademarks
Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) records list Trung Nguyen Legend Investment and Brand Development Company Limited as the current owner of G7 COFFEE INSTANT COFFEE.
The record shows an assignment from Trung Nguyen Investment Corporation, with a change date of 8 August 2025 and a recordal date of 1 October 2025.

Further changes in 2026
In 2026, the same pattern appears in records for several other trademarks.
For TRUNG NGUYÊN LEGEND AURA ENERGY, the Canadian record shows an ownership change from Trung Nguyen Investment Corporation to the new entity, dated 23 June 2026 and recorded in late July 2026.
The record for E TRUNG NGUYEN ENERGY NANG LUONG CAFÉ THE No.1 COFFEE also names Trung Nguyen Legend Investment and Brand Development Company Limited as the current owner; CIPO records the change date as 24 July 2026.
International-registration search listings also show several marks, including Legend Gold, Aura Energy, G7 Coffee Gold, Trung Nguyên Legend and others, under this entity’s name.

The entity also appears in Vietnamese applications
The application for SPEED COFFEE - The Power Of Discovery - TRUNG NGUYÊN LEGEND, filed on 10 June 2026, names Công ty TNHH Đầu tư và Phát triển thương hiệu Trung Nguyên Legend as the applicant and remains under examination.
The record for TRUNG NGUYÊN LEGEND The Coffee Boutique likewise names the entity as the applicant. Its current status is still pending, so being named on an application should not be equated with having been granted trademark protection.
What is significant about these changes?
Concentrating intellectual property rights in a dedicated legal entity is not an unusual structure in international business.
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) explains that a business can assign intellectual property ownership to another legal entity, or retain ownership and license its use to other businesses.
For brands, usage rights can also form part of franchise agreements. This allows one entity to own brand assets while other businesses handle production, distribution or day-to-day operations.
From a governance perspective, such a structure can help centralize intangible-asset management, coordinate brand protection across markets and facilitate licensing or franchising.
However, trademark assignment records alone are not enough to conclude that Trung Nguyên is restructuring its entire corporate group. The available records show a narrower development: multiple brand-related rights and applications are increasingly being recorded under one entity focused on brand investment and development.
Business lesson: a brand is an independently exploitable asset
As a business grows and expands internationally, its brand becomes more than a name or logo. It is an asset that can be owned, assigned, licensed and commercialized separately from day-to-day operations.
Sometimes, to understand where a business may be heading, examining how it organizes its intellectual property can be as revealing as looking at revenue or store counts.
- CIPO records a G7 assignment with a change date of 8 August 2025 and a recordal date of 1 October 2025.
- Aura Energy and Energy Café records also show ownership changes in 2026.
- Being named as an applicant does not mean a trademark registration has been granted.
- Trademark records show changes to intellectual property assets; they do not, by themselves, prove a group-wide restructuring.
